The Basbas Negroni

Orange you glad you went for this Spanish twist on an Italian classic?

This isn’t your average aperitivo. The Basbas Negroni ditches the gin and leans into something bolder, weirder, and wildly more Mediterranean. Basbas brings the herbal heat. Suze adds that bitter snap. And dry vermouth keeps things sharp and clean.

It’s equal parts golden hour and grown-up.

Basbas Negroni Cocktail Recipe

Ingredients

2 oz Basbas

0.5 oz Suze liqueur

1 oz dry vermouth

Orange peel (for garnish)

Pretty ice (always)

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass or shaker with ice.

Stir until well chilled.

Strain into a rocks glass over a large cube.

Garnish with an orange peel—or, if you’re fresh out, use lemon and quietly let the joke die.

Equal parts cheek and complexity, the Basbas Negroni is what happens when Italy vacations in Ibiza and doesn’t want to come home.
